John replaced my exterior door and did an amazing job! It was a custom door and I had trouble finding a contractor who would take the project. John had no problem and tackled the challenge. My old door was falling apart and warped, he replaced it with a new fiberglass one. He took the old door that was rounded at the top and installed a rectangular door. He redid the frame and made sure it is insulated. He listened to all my concerns and I am very happy with the finished project. It’s a beautiful update. He is knowledgeable, friendly and clean. I would 💯 recommend him to everyone and also hire him again.

John was awesome to work with on our deck/stair project. His response was timely and he worked with us to develop a clear plan as we are new homeowners and were unsure about alot of things. We were so happy with the excellent work that was done with our stairs. He also went out of his way to identify additional issues such as a termite damaged post that needed to be replaced. I hired John to remodel my kitchen. I was really impressed with how involved he was with me on my project. I was really indecisive on making decisions. I was so overwhelmed with everything that goes into a remodel; what faucet to pick, all the different colors and sheens... I could go on. I struggled with this, but John was so sensitive to my wants and needs. He really took me by the hand and walked through every process during each phase so I understood what was going on. Pricing my items with different options telling where to spend my money and where to save. I don't know how he works and runs his company at the same time, it's impressive to watch him in action. Johns a great craftsman as well, so innovative on how he installs cabinets. My kitchen looks amazing, I highly recommend Duramen Builds!

We are so happy with the work John from Duramen did for us! He set in cabinets we got from Ikea to make them look like built ins and built us a custom storage bench to match. I was worried about the trim looking top notch but he did a really good job with attention to detail.

John showed up right on time both days, worked consistently the whole time, and cleaned up afterwards. He was professional, friendly, and communicative. Other contractors we had reached out to had been booked out for months so feel super lucky that he was able to fit us in quickly.

We're still waiting on the crown moulding to arrive, the last bits of caulking and paint, but I want to share our pictures! Isn't it pretty? Thanks John! We're definitely going to reach out to Duramen Builds in the future.

I consulted with John on a bathroom remodel for my home. He provided me a detailed estimate and discussed the process, timeline, and choice of materials. He was very communicative and helped me feel informed. While I wasn't able to afford the job at this time, I now have all the information to plan for this remodel in the future and will definitely be contacting Duramen Builds when I'm ready. John charges a $500 consultation fee that goes towards your job costs once booking with him and I felt this was more than fair for his time and expertise put into planning my job and estimate with me.

We hired Duramen to remodel our beach cabin after it was flooded during a king tide. In addition to remediating the water damage we ended up totally redoing the kitchen and bathroom and it all turned out better than I could have imagined. The house looks amazing and John was great to work with. He kept us informed throughout the process and had great suggestions for getting the outcome we wanted done in a cost-efficient way. We would use Duramen again in a heartbeat!

John met with us to find out what we needed and provided an estimate bid. Then he installed new vinyl plank flooring in our kitchen, laundry room and 1 bathroom. He repaired areas where mold was found in the wall (taking out drywall and installing new). He also did a custom repair for the area above our refrigerator. John has very pleasant personality, easy to ask questions and receive answers. He left the areas clean and made sure our needs were met.

John did an excellent job on the floors in our laundry room! He was so helpful and easy to work with. He viewed the project in-person and provided recommendations for flooring product to purchase. He leveled the concrete, cleaned the floor, installed our vinyl laminate planks beautifully (including many nooks and odd shapes to cut around), and trimmed out the space. We are so happy with our experience with John, and how well the project turned out! We highly recommend him, and will hire him again for any future projects!
